Arts & History (Lower Prep)

A&H Academy incorporates the history of music, theater and art. The academy can be combined with the Lower Prep or taken separately. Special trips via the Little and Junior Explorers Clubs will take students out of the classroom and through various art institutions in the greater metro Atlanta Area.
A&H Academy teaches four core courses (history, drama, art, and music) within its weekly class days. As part of the Academy, your child will go through a four-course rotation on their day of class and travel locally once a month. All courses are integrated with each other by historical eras (US History, World, and Modern). We teach these subjects in their entirety, which allows students not only to have knowledge of facts but also to have knowledge of the principles and purpose of the subject. A CMA A&H education allows students to explore art, events, artists, leaders, thought and choice, while considering the possibility of their own voice based on their God given purpose. Also, it encourages them to have definite intention when making their own artistic choices.
